Do I need to weigh and measure my bag / box?

Yes you must enter an accurate weight and dimensions in the booking form, your item will be weighed and checked at every depot as it travels, if more than one depot flags up your bag is heavier or larger your payment card will automatically be charged the an additional cost. We are in the business of saving you money not charging extra so we ask all customers to carefully measure and weigh their items. Platinum club memebers receive a free set of luggage scales with tape measure.

Can I send golf clubs and skis?

Yes of course, many customers send skis, ski books, golf clubs and many more pieces of sporting equipment. We treat sports equipment like any other item, simply ensure it is packed thoroughly and enter the size and weight in our booking form to ensure you pay the correct price. In the case of golf clubs some customers place their golf bag inside a box or speacial cover to protect them, others simply send the golf bag itself, regardless of how you choose to send your ski or golf equipment please ensure you use any extra packaging as neccessary, we cannot be held reposible for any damage and we advise you check your home or sporting travel insurance covers your sporting equipment while in transit.

Do I need to print my labels?

Yes, you must print your barcoded label and attach this to your item. The barcode must be unobstructed and easily scannable. We recommend you first place your label in a documents enclosed wallet or a poly pocket and attach this to your item. For your convenience sendmybag.com can print your labels and send them to you via special delivery, you will also receive documents enclosed wallets so you may easily attach your labels, there is a £15 charge for this service. Please contact us if you would like us to post your labels.

Failure to attach labels will cause your items to travel on a different service which will incurr an automatic surcharge usually equal to 50% of your original purchase price.

We highly recommend you include a copy of the label inside your item.

You will receive labels and full instructions for attaching them via email at least one day before your items are due to be collected - it's really is very simple, but if you have any questions just ask via email, web chat or phone.

Do I need to print customs documents?

If you are sending or receiving outside of the EU you will be required to print and attach customs documentation. Sendmybag.com will complete the documentation and email this to you. You must then print the documents and attach them to the outside of your item inside a documents enclosed wallet or a poly pocket. Customs documents must be attached beside your barcode label, customs documents and labels cannot be inside the same documents enclosed wallet. You must not directly tape customs documents to an item, they need to be easily accessible to customs officials, if the paper documents are taped to the item this may lead to a customs delay. For your convenience sendmybag.com can print your labels / customs documents and send them to you via special delivery, you will also receive documents enclosed wallets so you may easily attach your labels / customs documents, there is a £15 charge for this service. How long will my bag take to arrive?

Our service takes 3-7 days to most worled wide destinations, our on time or your money back guarantee does not apply to international services and we cannot be held responsible for customs delays.

Can you collect from around the world and deliver to the UK?

Is my item insured?

Most customers will have adequate cover under their home contents insurance policy, we advise you to speak to your insurer before travelling. For extra peace of mind £150 sendmybag cover may be purchased at checkout.

What addresses can I send to?

Sendmybag collects and delivers to thousands of addresses every year and you can arrange a collection from, or delivery to any standard known international address. By a "standard known address" we mean an address which regularly receives deliveries and which can facilitate a collection, for example a hotel. If you are sending to a non standard delivery address, for example a cruise liner it is imperative that you check the address you are sending to is a known standard address for deliveries and not behind port or customs areas to which access is restricted or to which an appointment is required. A portacabin office etc will not suffice, if you are sending to a cruise liner please discuss this with the liner and ensure the address is a fixed known standard address with access 9-5, Monday-Friday and that they regularly receive deliveries. They will likley be used to receiving luggage items for the ship and should advise the correct fixed address, if a cruise liner cannot offer a known standard fixed address please do not send your item.

If sending to a new build you must ensure the address has already started to receive deliveries, if our Fed Ex drivers are unable to locate an address we may require you to have the item collected from an alternate address.

Regardless of your collection address it is important that sendmybag.com is provided with a local telephone number for any international collection or delivery address, the number must be available 9am - 5pm. If a driver attempts to contact your collection or delivery address, and is unable to there may be an extra charge for resending a driver the following day.
