Storage + from sendmybag is probably the most innovative and lowest priced storage solution for Students, International Travellers, and anyone else requiring a dynamic and affordable storage solution. From £29.58 per large box or suitcase we'll collect, store for up to 2 months FREE and then deliver anywhere in the UK. NI, Highlands and Islands delivery is £5 extra and International collection and delivery is available at an extra cost which is destination dependent. Store as long as you like, after the first 2 months it is only 50p per item per week. We guarantee the lowest price for door to door storage.

Step 1 - Book Online. Choose United Kingdom for both the "FROM" address and the "TO" address. When you reach the page where you enter your full delivery address, do not enter an address simply click "Add to Storage" and a red X will cover the delivery address, click next to proceed to the next step for payment. Contact us if you need any help.

Step 2 - We will collect your bags or boxes from anywhere in the UK or from anywhere worldwide at an extra cost.

Step 3 - Your items are stored in our secure warehouse (2 months storage included in the price, 50p per item per week after 8 weeks)

Step 4 - Use our simple form to request your items to be delivered from our warehouse to anywhere in the UK or worldwide at an extra cost.

Storage + is a unique service, unlike other storage providers we will collect from anywhere and deliver to anywhere in the UK or Wolrdwide, you are not restricted to having your stored items returned to the same place from which they where collected. There is also no need for you to bring the items to our warehouse, you simply pack boxes or suitcases and we will collect.

Common Storage Questions Answered:

How much does it cost to use storage?

You simply pay for the normal sendmybag.com service plus a small fee for storage. For example if you want to store three boxes, you would pay between £16.83 - £22 per item. You would then pay £15 per item. Total paid £83.40.

For the fee sendmybag.com student storage will collect from anywhere in the UK, store your items for up to 2 months and then deliver to anywhere in the UK on a day which suits you.

We believe this is the best value student storage in the country, for delivery to NI, Highlands or Islands there is an extra £5 fee. International collection and delivery is available.

Can I use any boxes, bags or suitcases?

Bags, Suitcases and Boxes are all acceptable just make sure they are packed and labeled thoroughly.

How Should I pack my boxes?

All boxes, bags and suitcases should be packed thoroughly. If a box arrives with us which is bursting open or falling apart we will photograph it, send you the picture and then charge to repackage into approved boxes.

Your boxes will be stacked in storage and in transit to and from you will be handled on and off several vans, conveyor belts and perhaps even boats and planes. As such you should not store breakable items, all standard exclusions apply and are detailed further down this page under "what can I send / store?".

Overweight and oversize items will incurr extra charges as per our terms - we ask you ensure your items do not exceed 30kgs or our maximum dimensions see below.

What if I need to store for more than 2 months?

No problem, we'll only charge 50p per item, per week storage for every week you need over the 8 weeks included.

How do I tell you where and when to send my stuff?

Simply complete our retrieve from storage form, the link to the form is located at the very top of the sendmybag.com homepage.

Where do you collect from and deliver to?
Sendmybag.com is operational worldwide, you can have a package collected and delivered within 97 countries.

Can I book over the phone?
Yes 9am - 1pm Monday - Friday, telephone number displayed at the very top of this page. If you have trouble booking please contact us.


How can I pay?
At the end of our booking procedure you can pay with Visa, Matercard, Paypal and most other major cards.


Do I have to book in advance?
You can book as far in advance as you like, however most customers simply book 2-3 days before they would like the collection to take place. If you want to book a collection for the next day you must book before 3pm. Eg. If you book on a Monday at 8pm and ask for a driver to come on the Tuesday the driver will not be able to come until Wednesday, however if you book on a Monday at 2pm and ask for a driver to come Tuesday this will be fine. We pride ourselves on not being a standard courier, in order to receive a higher level of service we allow drivers to prepare their collection manifests the afternoon of the day before so we must have all bookings in by 3pm.

If you do require an emergency collection contact us as in some occassions we may be able to accommodate.

International customers must book at least 1 week in advance.


When will my item be collected?
Your boxes or baggage will be collected on your day of choice (not including weekends or bank holidays). This is not a guaranteed service and should therefore not be used for any especially time sensitive items. However we have an excellent record of over 97% of packages being collected and delivered on time.

Do I attach my own delivery labels?
Yes. It is extremly important that the customer clearly labels each item. You should follow the instructions in your confirmation email and attach your name, the storage address and the delivery tracking number. If you believe your labels may fall off due to the material of the bag please use a box or a different suitcase. You could also wrap your suitcase in bubble wrap or purchase a packaging kit. If your labels fall off your item will be severly delayed and may even be lost - please securely attach labels.


What time will my item be collected?
Collections usually take place in the afternoon but can take place anytime between 9 & 18.00.


Do I need to be present for collection?
It is preferable that you are there for the collection. However if this is not possible, you can leave your package somewhere easily accessible (a porch, or open garage etc) and mark it “for collection”. Leaving a package outside your home is done at your own risk. If you are not present and the package is not at the first port of call we would ask you to leave a note on your door telling the driver where it is. Please remember it must be somewhere easily accessible. Our drivers perform dozens of collections each day and do not have time to chase customers, they will arrive at the address, knock the door and if no one is present or the address is inaccessible i.e. access card/key required they will leave, no refund will be offered.

If you can’t be at home for the collection many of our customers arrange for the collection address to be their place of work.
Whether you are present or not please ask the driver to sign and date a page as proof of collection.


When will I receive confirmation of my order?
The collection will not be confirmed until the day before your item is due for collection (usually between 16.00-18.00). Once booked you will receive a confirmation email which will contain your tracking number.

**Note when you book online you will receive an email from sendmybag with an order ID and another email from the payment processor confirming payment neither of these numbers are your tracking number. You will receive a confirmation email the day before collection which will contain your tracking number.**

What Can I send / store?
Our service is designed to help you avoid excess baggage charges by sending those bulky essentials of student life, your spare clothes, your duvet and so on. If you choose to send anything valuable or breakable (e.g a computer), you do so at your own risk and you agree that you will ensure it is packaged thoroughly and appropriately. The courier covers each domestic UK consigment for up to £150.00 and in the event of anything happening to your package sendmybag.com will pursue this claim on your behalf. You may not send anything which may be construed as illegal and you assume full responsibility for anything you send.


What should I send my items in?
As an excess baggage servive many of our customers do use a suitcase, simply lock it as you would for a flight and perhaps run some tape around the zip (items sent unsecured will void the £150 consignment cover). Your case will be treated like any other package so please do not send a valuable case, sendmybag.com nor the courier is in no way responsible for the damage in transit to any case or bag. If you do not wish to send case a thoroughly packaged sturdy cardboard box is ideal. Sendmybag.com now also offers a packaging kit which can be purchased during booking.


Are there size or weight restrictions?
Your package cannot exceed 30kgs in weight, if found to do so it will be removed from travel.
Everyday our courier’s deliver packages of all shapes and sizes but there is a maximum size. The longest length may not exceed 150 cm. To see if your package fits within our size restrictions -

Note the length, width and height in cm.
Multiply the three numbers together and then divide the total by 5000. This number must not exceed 30.

eg. 50 x 30 x 40 = 60000 / 5000 = 12. OK for travel.

Don't like doing sums? Don't worry, you must enter the length, width and height of your item during booking, if your item is oversize our system will tell you.

Our size restrictions do allow for a large suitcase, but if you break our maximum weight or dimensions the courier partner will automatically move your item to an oversized service and the additional cost will be debited from your payment card, the charge is typically £20-£40 but can be higher if your item is significantly over sized, surcharges on international services will vary depending on the desination.

When will my packaging kit be delivered?

Your kit will be despatched within 1 working day of purchase and delivered within a further 2 working days. If you are booking a sendmybag collection for your boxes we recommend you choose a collection date at least 5 working days in the future, this will allow you time to receive the kit and pack the boxes before our driver arrives.

Do you deliver your packaging kit to the whole UK?

No, although sendmybag operates across the whole UK due to how the kit is despatched we cannot currently deliver our packaging kit to Northern Ireland, Highlands or other off shore UK islands. We hope to make a new kit available to the whole UK soon.

If I am using storage do I need to use every box?

No, you simply buy your packaging kit and you can use as many or as few boxes as you like.
