Step 1: Get a Quick Quote:
We’re all about making your life hassle free. Our simple quick quote tool gives you a price for excess baggage shipping around the UK or the world within seconds. First, select your collection country and delivery country. Then tell us how many items you want to send. If you know when you would like the bags collected, we’ll even give you an estimated delivery date.

Step 2: Book Online
Ready to place your order? Simply click Sendmybag. If you are a new customer you will be asked to key in a password so only you can access your order details. It will also allow you to track your shipped luggage online.
Booking your unaccompanied baggage online takes less than 5 minutes. Our intelligent booking system will guide you through the process gathering all the information required to ensure a smooth collection and delivery.
You will need to select your collection day. We can pick up on any working day and advise you to book at least 24 hours in advance. We recommend 48hrs in advance for non EU collections and some remote areas may require 72 hours notice - this information will be displayed during the order process.
Lastly you pay securely online with all major debit and credit cards. If you’ve earned Sendmybag credit by referring friends, you can also use it as payment.
Sendmybag offers a 10% discount off on any order containing 3 or more bags. We also give an exclusive 10% discount to students with NUS Extra and UCAS cards who want to ship uni baggage.
After you send your order, you’ll receive a confirmation email. It will confirm your order details and you will be able to log in to view your order online. We also recommend you watch our video on preparing your bag.
Step 3: Prepare Your Bag
If you are relocating and sending several items you may prefer to use sturdy cardboard boxes. Please ensure your bag is packed thoroughly for transit – never send glass. See our Terms and Conditions for more information on prohibited items.
Leading up to your collection date, you will receive a booking confirmation email which will include your tracking number and links to download your label. In most cases if your excess baggage is due for collection in the following 5 days you will receive this email within 2-5 hours of placing your order . If your collection date is more than 5 days in advance you will not usually receive your labels until you are within 5 days.
Tracking labels are only compulsory when travelling outside of the UK. Items travelling within the UK will have a barcode label that will be attached by the collecting driver. However, we highly recommend you download and attach a Sendmybag label to every item you are sending and put a spare copy inside each bag.
The best way to attach a label is by placing it in a clear strong plastic wallet such as a Sendmybag label holder. Attach the wallet to the handle of your bag preferably with cable ties. If using tape, please ensure the label is securely attached.
If you are sending outside of the EU (European Economic area), you will have received notification to complete some simple customs clearance information in the customer area. Completed customs documents will be available for download along with your label and should be attached to one item in a separate wallet from your label. Sendmybag provides cover of £250 per bag for only £2.50 per item. We do recommend checking that your home or travel insurer provides additional cover if necessary.
Step 4: Your Collection
Your collection will normally take place between 9am and 6pm. If your collection address is in London, a residential address or outside the UK, it may take place outside of these hours.
Sendmybag is unable to provide an indication of collection times or to telephone you when the driver has arrived. If someone will not be available at the address throughout the day, we do recommend having your item collected from a place of work or leaving it with a neighbour and placing a note on your door.
The sender is not required to be the person who hands over the luggage to our driver.
If you miss your collection there will be a charge to resend the driver. From time to time for reasons outside of our control your collection may need to take place the day after the chosen day, please always leave a one day buffer.
Our drivers can only collect from the main access point of any address. If you are in a tower block or office you will need to bring the items to the ground floor or reception.
If you are sending from student halls or other areas of a university please ensure your item is located at the reception, porter’s lodge or office. This must be a standard access address that receives courier deliveries and holds items for collection, remember our drivers cannot gain access to restricted student areas, if you are unsure where to have your item collected from please check with your university.
Step 5: Track Your Bag
Once collected you will be able to track your excess baggage shipping every step of the way with our local and international couriers. Simply enter your tracking number click track at the top of Sendmybag and watch your item travel to its destination. You can also track with just one click by downloading our mobile app form iTunes or Google Play.
Step 6: Your Delivery
When booking, you will be advised of an estimated delivery day. At sendmybag, over 95% of standard deliveries and 99.5% of express deliveries take place on time however we do recommend you send your luggage with time to spare to allow for any unexpected disruption, see our Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
The named recipient does not need to be present to sign for your item. Anyone at the delivery address may sign for your luggage.
If you are sending to a hotel we recommend you notify them in advance or request that the concierge have them waiting for you in your room.
Step 7: Refer & Earn
Sendmybag has grown through referrals from our loyal customers. It’s only right that we say thank you with Sendmybag credit. In the customer area visit the “My Rewards” section, this is where you can keep track of how much credit you have earned.
To start earning credit, simply copy your unique referral link (located in “my rewards”), onto Facebook, Twitter, emails or your own website and tell your friends and family about Sendmybag. You will earn a credit to the value of 10% of the total order value over 12 months on every order placed by the referred customer.
