Air North Cabin Baggage Allowance:
The amount of hand baggage permitted by Air North’s baggage allowance depends on the aircraft being used. On the E170 Jet aircraft, passengers are allowed a bag weighing no more than 9 kg and measuring a maximum of 56 x 36 x 23 cm, with its total linear dimensions not exceeding 115 cm.
On the E120 Brasilia aircraft, the hand baggage allowance reduces to 4 kg and total dimensions not exceeding 103cm.
Air North Cabin Baggage Prohibited Items:
Certain items are not allowed on board Air North flights. These include:
Lithium batteries with power greater than 160 Wh,
Explosives, such as fireworks,
Flammable liquids, such as paint.
Air North Checked Baggage Allowance:
E170 Jet: 20 kg, E120: 13 kg. If baggage exceeds 13 kg on the smaller aircraft, it may be accepted. If baggage exceeds the passenger's allowance, an excess baggage fee between will be charged at the airport, the exact cost of this varies by route.
Customers can telephone to purchase 5kg blocks of extra baggage up to 24 hours prior to a flights departure with fees ranging from A$35 to A$50.
If travelling with an infant you may also check in a stroller or a carry basket, plus 20 kg of checked baggage, in addition to your own allowance.
