JetBlue Carry On and Musical Instruments

A musical instrument can be brought on board (excluding Blue Basic Fares) as carry on provided it fits within the overhead lockers (standard carry-on dimensions do not apply).

Larger musical instruments can also be brought onboard if an additional window seat has been purchased and the item does not exceed 165lb (75kg) in weight.

Certain domestic pets can be brought on board the aircraft, and placed, in their carrier, under the seat in front. If a bag is both overweight and oversized, the two fees will apply.

JetBlue Checked Baggage and Exceptional Items

Exceptional items, such as sports equipment, are accepted as checked luggage, and often without additional fees being charged.
